Courtney is a Brisbane local, born and raised. In 2019, she completed her Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Public Health at the University of Queensland. During her time studying population health, epidemiology, and body systems, while working as a dental assistant with Matthew Littleton, this blend of theory and clinical care acted as a catalyst to pursue a career in dentistry.
Courtney moved to Rockhampton in 2021. In 2023, she graduated from Central Queensland University with a Bachelor of Oral Health (Hons). She spent her graduate year working for the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service in the School Dental and Geriatric Care team before moving to Brisbane to work in private practice.
During and after university, she has been actively involved in advocacy for her profession through the Oral Health Association of Australia (formerly DHAA and ADOHTA). Courtney has an interest in improving oral health outcomes through ongoing research and continued professional development, delivering ethical, holistic, and evidence-based care.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys gardening on her property, keeping up to date with the Hamish & Andy podcast, and catching up with friends and family.
